Graduating in May 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education Ben is ready to be the leader of your school’s music program.

At ISU he was involved in a diverse group of ensembles including, but not limited to marching band, concert band, percussion ensemble, and basketball drumline.

He was the principal percussionist of the Illinois State University Symphonic Band for two years. He was also a cymbal section leader in the marching band for two years. Additionally, he was the front ensemble percussion tech at Tri-Valley High School for the last 4 years.

He was the recipient of the John Phillip Sousa Award (2021) Lloyd and Eleanor Fengel Scholarship (2024), and the Blake Cowden Leadership Scholarship (2021).

He is a student of Dr. David Collier, Dr. Ben Stiers, and Dr. Elliott Godinez. He has been taking private percussion lessons for 7 years.

He is also piano proficient. Has experience with arranging, and in the use of Pyware drill design software.

Ben is a lifelong musician, who is passionate about developing a successful music program.
